Why Learning History is Crucial for Building Wealth

Understanding economic history is of the utmost importance these days.

There’s a lot of bad information out here that has to be refuted.

For example, many court historians argue that the New Deal got America out of the Great Depression. Real historical evidence shows the contrary case.

In fact, the New Deal and the interventions that characterized it, helped prolong the Depression.

It really wasn’t until the end of World War II, when the private sector was finally allowed to operate freely, that the US was able to return to normal economic conditions. Such inconvenient truths about history are simply not discussed in your typical history textbook.

Nevertheless, these subjects must be covered if we want to get closer to the truth and understand the world around us. History is all about depicting the past in a way that we can understand and learn from it, so that we don’t repeat otherwise preventable mistakes.

Just because court historians have ruined the field of history does not mean that good history is dead.

The Internet has enabled an unprecedented proliferation of information that would otherwise not have been available in the pre-Internet era. Such information has allowed for clever content creators to challenge the status quo and provide compelling alternative histories to the most controversial events in history.

Moreover, this information has educated countless investors who want to get ahead of potentially damaging economic events.

In the realm of income properties, understanding economic history is incredibly important. It can make or break you.

Plus, it will help you understand how in the present the conditions of the housing market are different from the past.

Our own Jason Hartman makes the case that the current state of housing markets in the US are not the same as those during the 2007 real estate crash.

In Jason’s video “Crash Signals – Past vs. Present Housing Inventory,” he explains key differences between the 2007 crash and the present economic dilemma in the US.

Tune in here to find out how these conditions are very different.
