Throw everything at the wall to see what sticks

Some people are serial entrepreneurs, proceeding with a philosophy of “try a little bit of everything and hope something works.” While we at The Creating Wealth Show are all in favor of entrepreneurs, there is something to be said for doing one thing and doing it well. Yet time after time we see people diving into unrelated businesses simultaneously, bifurcating energy and effort, reducing effectiveness.

Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and Donald Trump are all very good at one thing. Yes, after they made a billion or ten they branched out into television or charity ventures out of boredom but you can bet they were focused like a laser while making their first million.

For Big Picture idea people, starting a business is fun. It’s a rush. Sticking to one good idea is how you get wealthy. Let’s say you’ve grown your first business idea, a chocolate French fry franchise, to the point that it grosses one million a year. What’s the quickest way to make your second million? Chances are it involves continuing to grow the first business – NOT running out and starting a brand new venture from scratch.

Why invest time, effort, and money on a gut feeling when have a hen laying golden eggs right in your hand? Our two cents: focus like you’ve never focused on the one idea you believe in and make it work.

MAKE it work!
