Service industry anyone?

The third major area you might consider when it comes time to dig your teeth into internet marketing or a home business is to create a service of your own. Let’s take a closer look.

The type of service you might offer is really as wide open as your talents, skills, and motivation allow. If you’re leaning more toward the “work at home” model and not necessarily internet marketing, you might develop a business plan around pool cleaning, dog grooming, carpentry, copy writing, or maybe even helping people get their resumes in tip top shape.

The upside to offering a service is you are no longer constrained by the work office or 9 to 5 work day. And if your business grows to be more than you can handle with the number of hours in the day – hire help. Stay home! Schedule jobs! Count cash!

The downside to providing a service is, unless you do hire help, your income is limited by how many hours each day you are able to physically perform the service. But if you have a particular skill, cashing in on it might be a perfect way to transition to a work at home lifestyle.

Next time, we’ll talk about creating your own product.
