One of the Biggest Threats to the American Dream

Generally, I tend to avoid politics.

It’s a divisive topic that generally doesn’t yield productive results.

The political process is generally parasitic and usually involves some of the most unscrupulous actors imposing policies that hinder productive economic activity.

You see this with heavy taxation and regulation. For America’s most productive citizens, these features of politics are an unnecessary burden. However, these obstacles can still be circumvented.

Though, I will say this. There’s a new cancer that’s killing the American Dream.

The emergence of woke capital — a corporate pivot towards virtual signaling in favor of leftist movements —  is among the most pernicious developments in contemporary politics.

Not only are these companies posting social justice content, they’re also policing private behavior and promoting policies that privilege people based on their groups as opposed to merit.

By having this culturally toxic trend  take over corporate boardrooms, it’s beginning to infect the American Dream.

When a new ideological strain is causing disruption in legislative halls and corporate spaces, you know things have gotten out of hand.

Under wokism, a person’s race, religion, and sex takes precedence over their character, accomplishments, and ability.

This goes against the very principles this country was founded on such as equality under the law and equality of opportunity.

What’s particularly insidious about wokism is how pervasive it is across America. Corporations’ embrace of these movements have added a new dimension of frustration for millions of America.

Companies using market power to economically coerce people into abiding by woke strictures is something most people could have never fathomed.

The merger of woke culture with Big Business is a dangerous trend that should frighten any American who believes in free speech, meritocracy, and equality under the law.

By allowing woke culture to enter the business world, we lose the apolitical space where we can come together and innovate.

Business affairs should be handled according to one’s performance and skills, not their political views.

In a sane world, Americans would not be forced to lose their jobs for voicing cultural or political views that go against the grain.

However, this is 2022, a year marked by tons of irrationality.

In all honesty, there’s only so much you can control.

Obviously, it pays to be aware of what’s going on around you.

That said, there’s some areas of life that we can’t really have an impact on.

Politics is chief among them.

It’s best that you focus on more productive activities that enhance your wealth and make you antifragile against macro-economic and political threats.

One of the best ways to do so is by becoming a savvy income property investor.

The home is the center of the universe. It’s not going away no matter what the doomsayers say.

And back to politics, people will always need housing no matter who is in power and what state the economy is in.

As an income property investor you should always take advantage of this trend.

If there is one thing to obsess about, it’s building wealth. It will make you resilient when confronting political and economic crisis.

Plus you’ll be in a better position to help out your loved ones and bequeath a better life to your posterity.

Obsessing about politics, on the other hand, does you no good. You just get angry and waste time worrying about things you can’t control.

Life is too short to spend your time worrying about such matters.

To be sure, it helps to have some basic political knowledge. In fact, it will help you determine which states have pro-landlord policies — the best environment for income property investors.

But beyond that, spending your time excessively consuming political content will result in you veering away from your true calling of building wealth.

As always, exercise moderation with activities that don’t generate wealth.

In the meantime, check out may interview with Vivek Ramaswamy to learn why wokism is such a toxic ideology and how it will ruin business relations in America.

P.S. We’re in for some turbulent times as inflation becomes the norm and wokism creeps into every aspect of our lives.

Pretty wild stuff.

However, the world is not built by complainers.

It’s ultimately the action-takers who end up winning and shaping the course of history.
