It’s the million dollar question. The quick answer is, about seven years if you follow the Empowered Investor strategy of prudent leverage, debt management, and diversification. Does this mean we promise every person who walks through the door that they’ll be rich in real estate in that length of time?
Of course not. We can’t make that kind of claim. There are so many variables, one of the main being how well the investor carries through on the concepts we teach. The strategies we employ work. There’s no doubt about that. They work very well when you completely understand the reasons we do what we do and have a modicum of patience.
It’s easy to jump on the internet to your Ameritrade account and fire off a few trades before breakfast. The fact is that if that is your wealth building strategy, chances are it’s not going to work well.
In seven years of stock market dabbling you’ll have had some good days, a lot more bad ones, and paid a heck of a lot of fees to the broker churning your account in frustration.
This is not the way to create wealth and reach the land of financial independence.
