Don’t buy into real estate negativity

It’s a sad situation. You’re a budding real estate entrepreneur with energy to burn and an interest in foreclosures. I mean, it seems like a good idea. Houses are selling left and right for a fraction of their value a few years ago. Buy at the bottom, right? It just so happens that this property investing novice knows a friend of a friend who’s a real estate agent. He finds the guy in his office throwing pencils at the ceiling and sits down to pick his brain.

But what comes next?

A litany of how bad things are out how. The real estate market is falling to pieces so fast people are getting hit by the shrapnel, and don’t even think about foreclosures – a guy will most definitely lose his shirt trying that.

The point here is not really even whether buying foreclosures is a good or bad idea (Creating Wealth thinks it’s a good idea with the right deal in the right market) but that the illustrious Dream Crusher has shown his ugly face once again. Remember this – your first instinct that there is money to be made in real estate is correct. Your second instinct to consult with an experienced property investor is also correct.

Unfortunately, you made the mistake of broaching the subject with one of those people who specialize in crushing the hopes’ of other people. Keep these miscreants out of your life. Negative people will make you soul sick. Don’t give them the chance. We promise not to rain on your parade and always tell the truth.
