As much as I try to phase politics out of my life, it’s practically unavoidable. You see, when you get into real estate investing, or any economic activity dealing with substantial amounts of money, you’ll invariably attract the attention of the government.
It’s a pain in the rear, but it’s part and parcel of the present-day social order we live in. The good news is that there are select individuals who buck the trend in politics and stand up for America’s most productive individuals.
These people run for office not to make a career but to assume a public duty of standing up for freedom and defending their constituents from the abuses of bad governance and predatory corporations.
Most importantly, some of these candidates know a thing or two about running a business given their previous experiences in the private sector.
In the rare instances that these folks get elected to higher office, they become a godsend for the people they champion.
What we’re talking about goes beyond soundbytes about liberty or holding corrupt politicians accountable. Some of these political insiders, who have their heads screwed on tight, can come in clutch for entrepreneurs who face persecution from the regulatory state.
