Bad excuses for the control freak investor.

You got into real estate investing in the first place so you would have more time for yourself, right? So why are you running yourself ragged trying to manage all your properties? It doesn’t make any sense. We understand there are a certain number of legitimate control freaks out there but think of how you might spend your time differently if you learned the critical lesson of delegation to an assistant or property manager.

Write that long overdue novel.

Be a parent or grand-parent.

Spend a month in the Bahamas.

These are just a few ideas. We’re sure you can think of more on your own. One excuse often offered is “The cash flow doesn’t justify it yet.” Oh, really? Your investment cash flow doesn’t justify hiring someone at $8 an hour to come in for 2-3 hours per week to do the grunt work of processing the necessary paperwork to keep your rental properties above the law?

Come on! That’s twenty-five bucks a week. You can swing that much. Give up your morning stop at Starbucks and think of the peace of mind you’ll gain. And you already have a property manager, don’t you? Don’t even get us started on that. Without a property manager, you are literally taking years off your life.
