5 Rules to Online Marketing Success (Stolen From a Warrior)

Every once in a while you find a forum posting that really puts it all together for the newbie. Such was the case with Melodican’s encouraging post to newbies on the Warrior Forum describing his “5 Rules for Online Marketing Success,” which we’ve taken the liberty of encapsulating below but feel free to follow the link at the end to read the original material. Let’s introduce the topic in his own words.

“The last time I was here (maybe 6 months ago), I was literally broke to the point of eviction, pulling my hair out with frustration and just a sheer ball of unhappiness. I wanted to share my return to WF after turning years of frustration into money online…I wanted to share with anyone not making money online, my experience on this epic journey. 6 months later, I have a business which creates income absolutely passively (I still pay for outsourcing), I make more money per day from the web than I used to in a week at my job and I have found time to dedicate to my family and my passion…music and travel.”

I want to share with you some rules which have allowed me to become (cue the cliche) “Financially Free”

If you see anything resembling your life in Melodican’s words, pay attention to the what comes next.

Rule 1:  Stick to One Thing
It’s easy to hop from idea to idea on the Internet, becoming disillusioned the first time you hit a bump in the road. At some point you need to stop collecting knowledge and start implementing it.

Rule 2:  Expose and Build Upon Patterns
You’ll probably begin to notice that certain elements of your business are thriving above others. Nurture these, build upon them and reap the rewards of exponential profit growth.

Rule 3:  IM is a Numbers Game
Internet marketing is absolutely a numbers game. The trick is to find what works and then leverage that into an ever larger income. Constantly tweak your selling approach. For example, replace a one headline with another that performs better and your business grows exponentially.

Rule 4:  Don’t Be Afraid to Spend Money
Your day can disappear in a hurry when you’re doing everything yourself. Consider leveraging your time by hiring others to do menial online business building tasks. Elance, Craigslist, and even the Warrior Forum are good places to start. For as little as $5 an article, you can hire copywriters.

Rule 5:  It’s Not Easy
Working from home and earning a passive income from your online endeavors is a dream come true – unless you expect that dream to happen without expending plenty of time, effort, and brain power. Working online is still working and your business won’t create itself out of magical fairy dust.
